I have divided this article into following sections, if there is anything else you want to be addressed or have a question about, please comment below.

Different types of work I did in wordpress:

First thing you need to do is to choose the right server for your WordPress website. You can either go with the shared hosting or a cloud server. if you want a robust solution just going with the cloud server but with cloud server you need to know how to set it up properly.

I can help you set it up properly with my over the years tested setup for best performance.

There are a lot of options in the market for hosting and Cloud Service I can help you in choosing the right provider and resources as I have tested all of these major service providers over the years. If you are looking for something cheap or the most reliable provider with best options available just let me know.

Some Tips:

  • Always choose Linux based hosting if you are going with Shared Hosting
  • Prefer LAMP for wordpress over other stacks.
  • Always prefer KVM virtual server over OpenVZ.
  • Always choose cloud server which provides you with fixed resources and bandwidth and not cost you extra if more bandwidth is used.
  • Always setup cache as with more plugins and features your wordpress website starts to get heavy and slow.
  • Use SSL
  • Use CDNs

This is just a brief about how I setup/ deploy my wordpress installation.

There are alot of hosting companies that come up with a quick installation of wordpress but if you have your own shared hosting and want to do a wordpress install then you gotta download the installation file from wordpress.org and do a manuall installation by uploading it to your host,  creating a database and then going through the installation process. I will not go into details here but its pretty well documented.

If you have got ssh access to your server you can easily do it via ssh.

Then comes the permalinks setup, it requires creating a .htaccess file and needs rewrite module enabled on your apache server.

I lost the count on how many times I went through this process but I can help you in setting up your wordpress properly.

Plugin updates & theme udpates seem pretty easy but sometimes that is the root cause of a slow website or a latest update of a plugin crashing the entire site, as you may have seen in many cases.

Your website is slow or you have unwanted issues/ errors on site. Reach out to me.

Alot of it depends on the website type, number of plugins being used, what plugins are being used, load on the landing page. But the server/ hosting provider you are using, the kind of resources you are running your website on is what’s causing your site to be slower

Solutions I have implemented

  1. Server
  2. Cache
  3. Assets optimization
  4. CDN
  5. Plugins
  6. Theme components/ widgets

Its a quick job. Done in at most a couple of hours. If your backups aren’t too big. If it is I may still charge you for the time spent to make it happen. That too in a couple of hours.
